Coed Spring Baseball 6.5-8

Grab your glove and lace up your cleats; get ready to knock it out of the park!. Youth baseball offers girls and boys an opportunity to boost their confidence, stay active, and make friendships while developing fundamentals of the sport. This is a six-game/five week season. Players under the age of seven (7) must have participated in either the 2025 Fall and/or 2026 Spring tee-ball season and be at least 6 and 1/2 years old to be eligible to play.

Practices will begin 4/21; games will begin 5/7. 6.5-8 division practices are primarily on Tuesdays from 6-7pm and games are played primarily on Thursdays from 6-7:15pm (hard stop) on the Bud Avery Field. $35/player ($50/player after 3/18). Registration ends Wednesday, April 1st. Spring T-ball and Softball players wishing to extend their Spring season and play Baseball receive a $10 discount; contact chorrigan@farmvillenc.gov for details. Fee waivers and discounts are available for those needing financial assistance; loaner equipment available.

Dates are tentative and subject to change. All leagues are tentative and subject to player minimums, 2-teams per sport/age-division.

Glove, face shield, helmet, water and sunscreen are essential for all players. Players receive a certificate of recognition at the season's end; medals are not provided.

Volunteer coaches are crucial; without them there is no season. Coaches receive a $25 credit for future Department programming (e.g., camps, leagues) at the end of the season, and an additional $25 credit if they complete National Alliance for Youth Sports (NAYS) training by the end of the first week of practice (training paid for by the Department). Background checks are conducted; interested coaches should reach out to staff for more details.
